Watch Wrestling Greats Tell Their Tales in NINE LEGENDS Trailer

Wrestling and the Princess Bride have always been connected thanks to Andre the Giant’s portrayal of Fezzik. With that in mind, director David Sinnott has decided to pay a bit of an homage to that classic film with his latest wrestling documentary, Nine Legends, a trailer for which just dropped (and you can view above)!

The film starts in the year 2050: A young boy is forced to spend the evening with his grandfather. As he is sitting playing with his action figures, the grandfather starts to tell him stories of when he was younger and would travel the world, interviewing the greats in the world of sports entertainment. (There’s definitely some Fred Savage/Peter Falk channeling going on there.)

The documentary continues with interviews from—wait for it—nine legends from the professional wrestling business. Bill Goldberg, who ruled the ring during the late 90s; Chris Jericho, who has evolved from a superstar wrestler to the lead singer of a successful hard rock band (not to mention a winner on @midnight); Lita (Amy Dumas) one of the greatest women wrestlers of all time, is also featured.

There are also interviews from Bret “Hitman” Hart, the Dynamite Kid, and Randy Couture, so this looks to be a film every wrestling fan will want to check out.

You can see more clips from Nine Legends at its YouTube Channel here, and you can order the movie for streaming at the official website here.

So what do you think? Are you excited to check out this documentary? Is there a legend you wish was part of the nine? Let me know on Twitter or come off the top rope into the comments below.
