Now, the King of the Monsters is back in a brand new Japanese-language film from series originators Toho Pictures: Shin Godzilla.
In Shin Godzilla, directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, the colossal kaiju is back to wreak havoc on Japan in all of his greenish scaly glory. So in honor of everyone’s favorite atomically powered creature stomping back into theaters, I dug deep into Godzilla’s history to unearth 8 surprising but true facts about the most famous movie monster of all time.
