Kids Cosplay Came Strong to WonderCon

Families brought their A-game to WonderCon this year, dressing their kids in amazing cosplay attire, complete with practiced fighting stances, character-realistic poses, and even transforming outfits.

Kids cosplay is sometimes even more fun than adult cosplay because everything is tinier and you never know when an adorable meltdown will occur. (Hint: it’s often.) There’s nothing like a seeing a grumpy BB-8 that needs a nap, just rolling around on the con floor.

I was thrilled to come across this Silk and Ms. Marvel cosplay. Not only am I huge fan of Marvel’s Silk, but I love when kids team up with their siblings and friends and have cool sassy poses to boot.

Star Wars Rebels cosplay is always awesome to see and this Chopper and Sabine brought along a friend from The Force Awakens. You may have seen it online: this spectacular little BB-8 transformed into a ball and gives a tiny thumbs up. World’s cutest droid! Kudos to the parents for thinking that one up.

Another floor favorite was tiny Xena. She offered me several practiced poses and never seemed to tire of taking photos. Not only that, this little warrior princess had a variety of options and wore a new elaborate outfit every day of the con!
