On the heels of the batch of new screenshots from earlier this week, Telltale has released the trailer for The Wolf Among Us, Episode 4: “In Sheep’s Clothing.”

As ever, you might want to avoid watching this one if you haven’t caught on up the episodic mystery/adventure game. But if you’re up to date, here’s what’s going down, according to Telltale:

Has the Wolf met his match? Beaten and bloody, Bigby is confronted by the realization that a society built on secrets is ripe for exploitation. And that the disenfranchised of Fabletown may see his prey not as the cause of their problems, but as their solution. Constantly caught between ‘the rules’ and doing the right thing, Bigby must tread a path fraught with danger in this penultimate episode of The Wolf Among Us.

Let’s take a quick moment here to consider the most excellent Bigby Wolf, one of the most fascinating characters in the Fables-verse. A semi-reformed badass, in the comics he serves as the Sheriff of Fabletown, uneasily serving up law and order to people who still see him as a villain. What I love about him is that he lives and works best in noir stories, but can also be an extant Wolverine-type, breaking things (and people) that need to be broken when him and his are under threat.

Anyway, along with the new trailer, we’ve got a release date: The Wolf Among Us, Episode 4 will be available next week, starting May 27th on the PC/Mac and consoles. What do you think? Is the series headed in the right direction?
