People of the Powers universe, watch out: Conrad Moody the III is coming to monetize the fame of the Powers and it’s gonna spell trouble for Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim. But it spells exciting things for friend of Nerdist, Wil Wheaton, who’s embodying the toy company multi-millionaire during the series’ second season. And not just because he’s, deep-down, a 12-year-old boy (but I mean, who isn’t?): he also got to hang out with his Star Trek: The Next Generation co-star Jonathan Frakes and create some pretty naughty stuff animal situations in Tuesday’s new episode, “Requiem. ”
“I play a really interesting guy, Conrad Moody the III,” explained Wheaton. “The owner of a company that merchandizes all of the superheroes in the world; he’s heavily layered and there’s a lot going on in himâand I really don’t want to give that stuff away.”
But one thing is incredibly relevant: “He thinks Powers are the coolest thing, ever. He loves superheroes and he loves toys and he never really grew up.”
And that’s displayed in some of Wheaton’s behind-the-scenes antics. “For anyone willing to really look for it, you may find toysâparticularly stuffed animalsâin the deep background [of Conrad Moody’s apartment] in, perhaps, compromising situations that we may have set up once or twice or a thousand times.”
Will they make them into the final cut? We can only hope and wait to see when Wheaton’s arrival to the Powers universe you’ll have to check out “Requiem” when it arrives on the Playstation Network on Tuesday, June 21st. Are you watching Powers? Let us know in the comments below!
