POWERS Cast & Creators Share Their Best/Worst Superpowers

Super strength or super speed? Teleportation or the gift of flight? Invisibility or mind reading? It’s an age-old question: which superpower would you most want to have? And there’s no team better to ask than the team behind Powers, PlayStation’s adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming‘s fantastical noir crime comic.

Powers tells the story of a world where superpowered beings, themselves known as “Powers,” are out in the open, living amongst humans. They often come head to head with the Powers Division, a branch of the police department that keeps these superpowered beings in line. In the first season, we meet Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley), a former Power who has joined up with the Powers Division after he loses his abilities, and Retro Girl (Michelle Forbes), a famous Wonder Woman-esque Power who saves the world on a regular basis. We also meet a collection of burgeoning Powers, including Calista Secor (Oleysa Rulin) and Zora (Logan Browning), some more villainous Powers, and other members of the Powers department.

In season two, Retro Girl has been murdered, and everyone has banded against Christian Walker. The season also welcomes Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) and our pal Wil Wheaton as newcomers to the cast. Helfer plays an FBI Agent who is brought in for the Retro Girl case, but quickly takes over the Powers Division and has much more going on than meets the eye. Wheaton’s character is a little more mysterious… we’re betting he’s a powerful, potential new threat.

When we had Browning, Rulin, Helfer, Wheaton, Bendis, and Oeming come into the Nerdist studio to talk about the new season of Powers, we simply had to ask: which is the best superpower, and which is the worst?

Don’t miss the first episodes of Powers season two (for free!) below and let us know in the comments what your best/worst superpower picks are!
