Exclusive: MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Talk INHUMANS and What’s to Come in Season 2!

Now in its second year, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has become propulsive in its storytelling, particularly in this season’s second half, with each new episode offering enough twists and surprises to satisfy newcomers and long-term fans alike — and the biggest surprise thus far has been the recent revelation that rookie agent Skye is an Inhuman, possessing terrifying new powers she’s fighting to control, lest they destroy everyone she loves. With Marvel developing an Inhumans movie for release on July 12, 2019, Nerdist’s Joseph McCabe catches up with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s young stars — Chloe Bennet (hacker turned superheroine Daisy “Skye” Johnson), Brett Dalton (double agent Grand Ward), and Elizabeth Henstridge (science whiz Jemma Simmons) — at the red carpet premiere of Disney’s live-action Cinderella. The cast tells us what lies ahead for their intrepid heroes in the season’s upcoming episodes, as dissent within its ranks threatens to tear S.H.I.E.L.D. apart. They also discuss whether or not we might one day see their characters cross over to the big screen.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — from Marvel Television and Mutant Enemy Productions — airs Tuesday nights on ABC at 9/8c. Based on the comic book created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, it stars Clark Gregg (as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s new director Coulson), Ming-Na Wen (as the kick-ass Agent May), Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, and Adrianne Palicki (as the equally kick-ass Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse). It’s executive produced by a who’s who of genre talent, including Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Stan Lee, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Jeffrey Bell, and Jeph Loeb.

Come on. They are just messing about. Chloe Bennett has quite the potty mouth. It’s funny that she self bleeps when promoting her show.
