This JURASSIC PARK Easter Egg Contains Jeff Goldblum Life Advice

It is an undeniable fact that we here at Nerdist are fans of the one and only Jeff Goldblum. We love him when he sings. We love him in Funko Pop! form. When he sings fake theme songs. When he improvises jazz concerts for charity. We even love him in meme form. And by golly, do we love when there is more than one of him. We even nearly had to replace an entire editorial team due to Goldblum-induced euphoria. Which is why we couldn’t be happier that YouTube’s Gamehelper uncovered this easter egg from the 1997 console game The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Like most gaming easter eggs, it was only viewable if you managed a certain task—in this case, to collect all the DINAH-sawer DNA in the game. Upon completion, you were rewarded with the Goldblum-tinged ending, in which Dr. Ian Malcolm addressed the player from the shores of what we can assume is Isla Sorna, congratulating them on a job well done. As you might expect, the good doctor is a bit condescending to the player as he urges them to turn the game off and go out and enjoy the world. In fact, there seems to be more than a little disdain in his voice when he insists we allow the outside world to “blow the stink off” of us.

The video comes to a rather abrupt end as the ground begins to shake from an off-camera prehistoric threat and a fearful Dr. Malcolm lets out a hurried “I go. I go.” So despite his judgmental tone of us gaming too much, it seems we chose correctly by being safe and sound indoors.
