The ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS Cast on Time Travel

With the fate of Wonderland hanging in the balance, there’s only one solution to put things right: time travel. While I won’t spoil what happens in director James Bobin’s Alice in Wonderland sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass, there is a very inventive depiction of time travel contained therein. Using an intricate, steampunk-y device known as the Chronosphere — which resembles an open-air version of the Bathysphere from Bioshock — that is basically a seafaring vessel through which the user can navigate the time-space continuum. So naturally, when we sat down with the likes of Mia Wasikowska, James Bobin, and Tim Burton, we had to ask them where they’d go if they had access to a real life Chronosphere. Look, we know it’s silly — but if the Internet was built for anything, it’s for profoundly silly stuff. And, to be fair, Tim Burton makes some really great points about how profoundly bizarre the world in which we live truly is.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.”

Alice Through the Looking Glass is in theaters now.

Where would you travel in time if you had access to a Chronosphere? Let us know in the comments below.
