The fiscal cliff problem’s been pushed back for now, so you don’t have to read up on what it exactly is for a few more months, but, more importantly, you also shouldn’t worry about Beyonce lip syncing the National Anthem. Instead of worrying, there’s this week’s 5 Most Intentionally Funny Videos to watch and at which laugh heartily because they, unlike the two incidents above, were planned and executed flawlessly.
1. The Grawlix from Denver serve up a taste of what both police partners being nice guys would be like during an interrogation in Good Cop/Good Cop.
2. As part of the monthly competitive short form TV series Channel 101, Baby Mentalist deservedly topped the voting by parodying The Mentalist with a real baby.
3. Matt Damon exacts his revenge on Jimmy Kimmel by hijacking Jimmy Kimmel Live.
4. Rookie Magazine enlists Kumail Nanjiani to give advice to teenage girls, which turns into figuring out references that those girls will get.
5. The podcast Comedy Bang Bang gets its first video episode as part of The Video Podcast Network from the Sundance Film Festival with Paul Scheer, Casey Wilson, Michaela Watkins, and more.
Per usual, Iâm taking submissions for the 5 MIFV every week like ones featured in the past. Same rules still apply.
-E-mail embeddable video link to [email protected] with subject line â5 MIFV Submissionâ
-Submit by the end of the upcoming Monday (which would be 2/4)
-Videos must be posted online (i.e. have a time stamp that says so) between now 1/29 and the end of Monday 2/4
-Donât add any cover letters or explanations; please just send the link.
There is a kid at my school who looks exactly like a white Kumail.
