Fear is the Mind-Killer in This Epic Recoil Laser Tag Showdown

“Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality,” wrote Lewis Carroll in the pages of Alice in Wonderland. It’s a statement that, in my experience, has proved to be resoundingly true. In the face of the humdrum and the mundane, an active imagination is the best tool in one’s arsenal to keep life interesting and stave off soul-sucking boredom. As it turns out, it can also be a powerful weapon in the art of ending blood feuds too.

Case in point: when those bullies from Geek and Sundry (Amy Dallen, Hector Navarro, and Ivan Van Norman) challenged Team Nerdist (Jessica Chobot, Kyle Hill, Rachel Heine, and Dan Casey) to throw down in an epic match of laser tag using Recoil, the brand new augmented reality laser tag system that transforms the world around you into a battlefield.

All you need to go from boredom to battle is the Recoil starter kit and a little imagination. But what if you don’t have any imagination at all? What if all that’s going on up there is a dreamless void, filled with naught but the echoes of your own anxiety and discomfort? Well, that’s exactly what happens to one member of Team Nerdist in our brand new sketch. Will a lack of imagination torpedo Team Nerdist’s chances at victory or will it prove to be exactly the wild card they needed to defeat their mortal frenemies? Find out on a brand new episode of Team Nerdist!
