Taco Bell’s Cap’n Crunch Donut Holes are the Future

When you’re eating breakfast do you think to yourself, “I love cereal, but donuts would be even better right now. Also, I hate dealing with bowls”? If so, your internal breakfast conversations are pretty wordy. More than that, your prayers have been answered.

As of today, Taco Bell has started selling Cap’n Crunch Delights Donut Holes. What’s a donut without icing? Don’t worry, Taco Bell has thought of everything — the creamy milk icing is on the inside, acting like a filling. Then the sweet treats are rolled into Cap’n Crunch cereal crumbs before being lowered into the Sarlacc Pit that is your mouth.

Taco Bell has been leading the pack in crazy mashup foods, even letting Conan O’Brien into their test kitchen for a sneak peek. You may shake your head at donuts fried, filled, and rolled in breakfast cereal, but don’t you realize that this is just another step in Taco Bell’s master plan to win the franchise wars? As we learned in Demolition Man, in the future ALL restaurants will become Taco Bell. These donuts are simply a means to an end to garner our favor and/or render us too full to resist their inevitable world domination.

What I’m saying is, don’t be surprised when stumble upon Dan Cortese sitting there playing the piano when you go to your local Taco Bell to pick up a pack of these treats. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The Cap’n Crunch Donut Holes are available now at Taco Bell in packs of two for $1.00, four for $1.69, and twelve for $4.49.

Did you try the Cap’n Crunch Delights, and what did you think? Tag @NerdistDotCom on Instagram with your food pics and also tag @justjenn to let her know if you’ve seen Dan Cortese.
