SUPERGIRL’s Jeremy Jordan Sings an Incredible Disney Medley

Most of you reading this are probably just now becoming familiar with actor Jeremy Jordan as Kara Zor-El’s confidant (and fellow CatCo employee) Winslow “Winn” Schott on CBS’s new Supergirl series. But before arriving in National City, Jordan appeared in the short-lived musical series Smash, and before that, was an acclaimed musical theater actor for several years. His resume includes hit Broadway shows like Rock of Ages, West Side Story, Bonnie and Clyde, and Newsies, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor back in 2012.

Jordan recently reminded everyone of his song and dance roots, and totally blew the audience away with a killer performance at the 2015 TrevorLIVE LA show on December 6, the semi-annual event held for the Trevor Project. Jordan belted out a truly epic medley of Disney musical numbers, with songs from beloved classic movies like Aladdin, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Newsies, the play that helped Jordan receive his Tony nomination. Songs included in the Disney medley were “One Jump Ahead” from Aladdin,”Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, and a whole slew of classics.

Luckily, someone recorded Jordan’s entire Disney medley while at the show, and loaded it to SoundCloud. You can listen to it in its entirety below. With pipes like that, here’s hoping the producers of Supergirl find a way to get Jeremy Jordan to sing something on Supergirl one of these days. There’s a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s DNA in Supergirl after all, so why not a musical Supergirl episode, just like Buffy had? We know now at least one of the cast members can carry a tune.
