Did Samuel L. Jackson Spoil AVENGERS: ENDGAME and CAPTAIN MARVEL?

Marvel knows which actors they can and can’t trust when it comes to spoilers. That’s why the studio had Benedict Cumberbatch babysit Tom Holland on a press tour, and why they turned Mark Ruffalo’s propensity for spilling some pretty big beans into a joke. And yet they’ve sprung a major leak from an unexpected source, someone who has been around from the very beginning of the MCU. In a recent interview Samuel L. Jackson said something that might have spoiled not just one, but two movies.

On today’s spoiler-filled episode of Nerdist News, guest host Kyle Hill looks at Jackson’s slip-up that seemingly confirms a major theory about an amazing ability Marvel’s most powerful superhero has. It could be the key to undo Thanos’s snap in Avengers: Endgame, and it could give away a major plot point for Captain Marvel.

Nick Fury is the last person in the Marvel Cinematic Universe we would expect to reveal a major spoiler. As Tony Stark said, “His secrets have secrets.” Plus, Samuel L. Jackson has been keeping Marvel secrets since the original Iron Man. Even with one eye he should have seen that this statement was something he should have kept to himself.

If only he could go back in time and undo it. He should ask Captain Marvel for help.

But what do you think? Will Captain Marvel’s time-traveling abilities be a major factor in both movies, or will we look back on this spoiler as a minor Kree leak? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
