OK Go Teases Crazy Music Video for “Upside Down & Inside Out” (Exclusive)

Ready. Set. OK Go!

OK Go, the beloved rock band that have been outdoing their own viral music videos for the past decade, are getting ready to unleash their next audio-visual experience on February 11th, when they drop their new music video for “Upside Down & Inside Out”, the lead track off 2014’s Hungry Ghosts.

In the first of four teaser videos, premiering exclusively on the Nerdist, we see the band getting prepared to do something obviously, perhaps dangerously insane in eastern Europe. Though at this point, we’d be lying if we said we were surprised that the band were engaging in ill-advised activities for the sake a rad, new music video, we can’t help but wait with an elevated pulse for the final product.

Okay, so let’s do some quick deduction with sample lyrics from “Upside Down & Inside Out”—”Don’t stop, it’s like an airplane going down… gravity is just a habit.” Well, based on the insane amount of screening the band is being subjected to and the quick shot of airplanes at the conclusion of this trailer, we have a pretty good guess that this music video will feature some wild—potentially zero-g—choreography in the air. Is that possible? Is my logic wishful? I guess we shall see what sort of crazy shenanigans OK Go are up to next Thursday when this bad boy finally premieres.

Make sure to check back this Friday for the next teaser trailer!

Matt Grosinger is the music editor of the Nerdist. One time when he was a teenager, he saw OK Go perform in Cincinnati, and got Damian Kulash to autograph a dollar bill, which, if he is not mistaken, is still in the CD case for the band’s second album.
