I gotta tell you folks, I am a jealous man. I’ve always wanted to go to South by Southwest in Austin, TX, and sadly never have. Luckily for me, and for you if you’re in the same boat as me, I can live vicariously through my colleagues at Nerdist and the other Legendary Digital Networks (Geek & Sundry and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls at the Party, dontcha know) who have set up an awesome #Saloon to interview people, play games, showcase bands, and generally do everything awesome you could possibly want from the U.S.’ premier arts and media festival.

Dan Casey takes us through Friday’s events, including an interview with Danny McBride and Walton Goggins from the upcoming HBO series Vice Principals, a chat with Andre Meadows the Black Nerd, a science showcase, and a game show. Oh, and eating lots of barbecue foods. That’s a must, everybody. If you’re in Austin and not eating BBQ, you need to take a long, hard look at your life (unless there’s some dietary restrictions… we’re not 100% dogmatic).
