Mondo Releasing Three New MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Posters

Mad Max: Fury Road will be released on Blu-ray September 1, but thanks to Mondo, fans can enjoy some post-apocalyptic art beforehand. They will be releasing three new posters based on one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the summer (You can check out Dan Casey‘s review of it here).

The poster in the image above was drawn by well-known Mondo artist Ken Taylor, and depicts a montage of the chase in the desert. So, it’s a montage of 95% of the film. This poster measures at 36×24 inches, and runs for 55 dollars.

The two images below are from artist Mike Mitchell, they are profile portraits of Max Rockatansky and Immortan Joe. You may remember Mitchell from when he did a similar series of Marvel portraits last year. Both portraits measure 12×16 inches and run for 55 dollars each, or 100 dollars for the set.

What makes this different than a normal Mondo sale is that it will be a “time-release” format rather than its normal limited edition sales. Fans can begin purchasing on Mondo’s website at 12:00AM CST on Tuesday, August 11th, and the sale ends 11:59PM CST on Thursday, August 13. Once the sale ends, they will print as many posters as were ordered. As long as you purchase during the given time period, there is no need to sit by Twitter hoping for a miracle. Also unlike other sales, there is no per household limit to the number of items purchased.

To see more of Mike and Ken’s art, you can check out there websites here and here.

So what do you think? Are you searching through your couch for loose change yet? Have you ever purchased a Mondo poster before, and if so, what was it? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
