Meet The Newest Mutant Crime Team: Baby Animal Battle Patrol!

Did you know that when Steve Jobs famously said, “Good artists copy. Great artists steal,” he took that quote from someone else? Yeah, it was a variation of something that was said by Pablo Picasso, who stole it from T.S. Eliot, who stole it from someone who stole it from someone. It’s a whole thing, and we are only bringing it up to remind you that doing such a thing is not only okay, it’s actually a tried and true practice utilized by giants in their creative field. That’s because we here at Nerdist stole from were inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to create something great, but…uh…well….

Look, these things are really hard. It turns out you just can’t throw any creature, no matter how adorable, into any old vat of toxic goo and end up with super cool mutant versions. So please don’t be terrified by our newest team of crime-fighting animals/monsters, because the only people that have to fear them are the criminal underbelly of society. And also non-criminals.

Meet the Baby Animal Battle Patrol!

But then try to keep your distance from them.

Because toxic waste can turn a team of cute animals (made up of a puppy, a kitten, a chick, and a baby bunny) into the fiercest team of mutant fighters since Splinter trained four young turtles to kick butt… but it doesn’t mean the transformation always goes so smoothly.

But don’t worry, because Gorfeld, Vomutt, Freakbeak (and Scrambles), and The Duchess might not look pretty… In fact, they might look horrifying, like a nightmare that the Devil himself would have if he was sleeping on the broken promises of a million damned souls and….where were we going with this?

Sorry, it’s hard to focus after seeing these…. crimefighters in action.

We promise to be much more careful about what we are inspired by in the future.

What cute animal should we throw in the toxic waste next? Battle with our comments section below to give us your best idea.
