Laugh Your Face Off with SCOOBY, DON’T

It’s a scene you’ve seen a million times if you spent any of your childhood watching Scooby-Doo reruns: the young sleuths who ride around in the Mystery Machine have the so-called “monster” trapped and tied up, and it’s time for them to find out who or what it really is. It was a ’70s horror-comedy staple, but introduce the same set-up to an age with cell phones and young people with super short attention spans and that can break bad real quick. Like…maybe at the expense of someone’s precious face skin.

In this Nerdoween comedy short, we find Daphne (Jessica Chobot), Fred (Dan Casey), Shaggy (Kyle Hill), and Velma (Alison Haislip) about to unmask the Fish Man of Fishman Manor (Doug Jones), only Daphne isn’t paying attention and gets a bit overzealous with the culprit’s already-unmasked face and gruesome horrors ensue. Turns out, it’s pretty easy to just tear off someone’s dang ol’ face, which means everybody at home should be extra careful when you shave or pop some pimples. And for the love of humanity, stay away from any of those rabid primates they’re always warning you about. If Daphne can tear off a face, then there’s no telling what damage a baboon can do.

In addition to the special guests listed above, pay extra close attention to the end of the short to see who else shows up and runs around, from one end of the hallway to the other. Recognizable faces…uh, recognizable people with faces, that is. Share who you spot in the comments below!
