EXCLUSIVE: GAME OF THRONES Bitmojis Are Coming for SDCC

The night is dark and full of avatars, my friends. It’s a good day to be an inhabitant of the Realm with a smartphone because we’re here to exclusively let you in on a fun little secret: Game of Thrones Bitmojis are coming! Nay, they’re here! No longer will your text message conversations be made up of Faceless Men, but rather teeny, tiny avatar’d iterations of yourself, all decked out in Westerosi (and Essosi) finest.

If you’re reading this post and going, “Uh, what in the heck is a Bitmoji?”, allow us to clue you in (grandma). Bitmojis are personalized emojis and stickers from the folks who brought you Bitstrips. Essentially, they make messaging way more fun and silly, which is exactly the sort of goofy business that makes the world go ’round in 2015.

Still not sure what that means for you? Well allow us—via our lovable munchkins Jessica Chobot and Chris Hardwick—to show you the way via their top-secret private text message conversations.

Like this totally real text convo where Chobot let Hardwick know who’s boss:

They’re also effective at expressing serious joy and excitement. Like, say, if you were prepping for your Comic-Con trip!

(The playful, pop cultured competition is always fierce between these two, by the way.)

With this pack of 6 brand new cosplaying Bitmojis, you can bring Winter to every conversation you have! Exciting, right? Even better: the Bitmoji app is free (as is the Thrones-themed expansion pack)—pretty radtastical, no?

Check out a few of the other Chris and Jess-themed Bitmojis below, as well as the non-Nerdist-themed options …y’know, so you can imagine yourself as the Khaleesi or Night’s Watch brother of your dreams.

So—who else is going to let the song of ice and fire blow up their text messages? Let’s hear it in the comments.

Alicia Lutes is the Associate Editor of The Nerdist. She is the prince(ss) that was promised—just ask George R.R. Martin. Find her on Twitter @alicialutes.
