The One Thing Missing From STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II

Star Wars fans going to be very pleased when they get their hands on Star Wars: Battlefront II. At this year’s E3, we had the chance to play Battlefront II, and it did not disappoint. EA and DICE have pulled out all of the stops to improve the sequel, with more characters, more options, and the long-awaited single player campaign. Battlefield II is a lot more fun than the original title, but it’s lacking the one thing that would truly make this into the ultimate Star Wars video game experience.

To start, it was a great decision to combine every era of Star Wars into Battlefront II. The ability to pit Darth Maul against heroes like Han Solo and Rey is very enticing, and that’s just the beginning of the possibilities. The overall gameplay experience has been greatly enhanced, and there is great news for anyone who hates buying DLC. Battlefront II won’t force you to pay for the new content, but you have that option if you don’t feel like taking your time to unlock it.

So, how could this game be any better? It just needs Galactic Conquest, the fan-favorite game mode from the original Star Wars: Battlefront titles by Lucasarts. Galactic Conquest added a new level of strategy to the game by sending two players into conflict for control of each world on the galactic map. Galactic Conquest also allowed players to earn credits for upgrades and elite soldiers that gave them tactical advantages. It was a terrific addition to the franchise and it badly needs a comeback.

We’re pretty confident that Galactic Conquest, or something similar, could show up in the final version of Star Wars: Battlefront II. At the very least, we’re hopeful!
