Is EA Out of Line with STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT’s Season Pass?

Even with all of the Star Wars hype that’s been surrounding Episode VII, I still cannot get my mind off the DICE iteration of Battlefront. The immensely fun beta period concluded last week, and while a majority of the reception of the game was positive, EA splintered a good portion of that feedback by announcing their season pass plans while the beta was still happening. But outside of the fact that they were announcing content without having anything to actually show, they also marked the season pass at the steep price of $50. Youch! Perhaps this is just the way season passes are going to work, requiring players to buy into content without even laying a finger on the actual game.

On this week’s Nerdist Play, we’ll big digging a little deeper into EA’s approach to Star Wars Battlefront‘s season pass. Is the $50 price tag a bit too high? Are publishers pulling the trigger on announcing season passes a little too soon? Tell us how you feel about this matter down in the comments below.
