DEADPOOL Armors up With New High End Action Figure

2016 has been a good year for Deadpool fans. The long-awaited feature film starring Ryan Reynolds made Deadpool more popular than ever, and it led to even more Deadpool collectibles. Now, Square Enix is offering an advance peak at what may be the ultimate Deadpool action figure, and it looks like it’s going to be worth waiting for!

Via ToyArk, several new images of the Deadpool Variant Play Arts action figure have been revealed, and the figure gives Marvel’s “merc with a mouth” a more armored appearance than he usually has. The figure itself was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con last summer, but this is our best glimpse yet at everything that comes with it. Deadpool will feature three interchangeable heads with unique expressions, 13 different hands, swords, knives, and a ridiculously oversized gun worthy of Deadpool co-creator, Rob Liefeld. And at ten-and-a-half inches tall, it’s not a small figure!

According to Square Enix’s official description, the colors and paints were chosen in response to Deadpool’s appearance in the feature film. The site also notes that Square Enix “also added some weathering effects to the armor, evoking the sharp contrast between Deadpool’s silly attitude and serious badassery.”

The pictures definitely capture the attitude of Marvel’s irreverent anti-hero, although it doesn’t seem to have Deadpool’s favorite hand gesture from the R-rated film. You can find the rest of the pics in our gallery below.

Square Enix has set up a preorder page for the Variant Play Arts Kai Deadpool, which won’t be shipping until the end of May 2017. The price is $149.99, plus shipping.
