DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ Looks Like the Dragon Ball Brawler of Our Dreams

During the Xbox E3 press conference we got news about the Xbox One X (formerly Project Scorpio), new games, and even got a look a brand spanking new exclusives coming to the Xbox family, and it all looked good. But HOLY BALLS did you get a look at the new Dragon Ball Z fighting game (developed by Arc System Works) that’s launching on the Xbox One, PC, and PS4 in 2018?! Peep the first trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ below.

My pants! They need changing!

This new fighter will be a 3-on-3 brawler and appears to go all the way through the Buu Saga. The gameplay trailer features our favorite Saiyan Apes rocking their long golden locks, and the most infamous villains starting with Frieza. There’s even a look at Gohan’s one-handed Kamehameha (also known as the best moment from the series). Everything looks beautifully realized and completely bonkers–just how it should be. The game is also a 2D fighter which deviates from recent releases that opt to go in the 3D route. Personally I prefer the 2D fighters, simply because it gives me one less thing to worry about.

We obviously haven’t seen a lot, but the footage we got at least gives off a bit of that Marvel vs. Capcom-vibe. And, well, that’s great. Modes and roster will really make or break this game. A closed beta is set to hit PS4 and Xbox One before the end of summer 2017.

Did you enjoy the trailer? Is this something you’re looking forward to? Which brawlers do you want to see make it onto the roster? What other features do you want to make the cut? Kamehameha your thoughts into the comments section below.
