Welcome back to WTFridays here at Nerdist News, as we look at a very strange chapter in the 2016 Presidential race. While Donald Trump has promised to build a border wall and Bernie Sanders wants a political revolution and possibly free college, Hillary Clinton is offering to tell the American people the truth about…aliens?

We swear that we did not make this up. Clinton went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and told Kimmel that if she is elected President, she will “get to the bottom of it,” regarding the issue of alien life and whether the government is hiding its knowledge from the world. “I think we may have been visited already,” added Clinton. “We don’t know for sure…If there is something there, unless it’s a threat to national security, I think we ought to share it with the public.”

What if it is true? Is Clinton going to make Independence Day director Roland Emmerich the new Secretary of Interplanetary Defense? And it’s not like Clinton didn’t live in the White House for eight years while her husband, Bill was President. We’d hope that Bill Clinton would at least be honest with Hillary over the whole aliens thing, especially considering the things that he didn’t tell her.
