Watch MARIO Dog Search for His Bone

The Mushroom Kingdom is one bonkers monarchy when you consider that two plumbers, the Super Mario Bros., are the two most capable heroes in this place. Only one rule seems to preside over this dominion: chaos. Just ask Princes Peach, who is constantly being harassed by a giant fire-breathing turtle — I repeat, a giant fire-breathing turtle. This begs the question, how would one determined German Shepherd fare in this world ruled by madness?

Petcentric by Purina, created this pawsitively fantastic video of one unphased dog searching for his bone, as he interacts with digital recreations of some of the Mushroom Kingdom’s harshest obstacles. Mario would be proud of this pup. This wily Shepherd collects golden bone coins, fights off some Goombas, avoids a Chain Chomp, and even consumes a Super Star to become invincible. Unfortunately, the end of his quest is only met with disappointment because, of course, the bone is in a different castle, mimicking the many adventures of our favorite plumbers. It’s a shame to watch this canine’s ruff luck.

You can set your puppy eyes on the full video above. The short is quite fetching and though the music isn’t exactly the catchy tunes from the games, they’re close enough.

If you didn’t already know, Petcentric is a haven for pet lovers everywhere who want to connect with like-minded people. Now you can congregate with pet lovers everywhere. They get two out of two paws if they keep creating these awesome videos.

There is one question that I can’t shake off — who let the dog out? I had to. Make sure to dig your way into the comments section below to let us know what other world do you want this canine to explore.
