As silly as it could be, the original CHiPs featured two cops that at least tried to be good citizens. The 2017 model? Um, not so much, as can be seen in the following trailer featuring the new Ponch (Michael Peña) and Jon (Dax Shepard, also the film’s writer-director). Co-starring Kristen Bell, Vincent D’Onofrio, Adam Brody, and Rosa Salazar, CHiPs rides into theaters on March 24th. Now if they would only use the original’s bitchin’ theme song…
Dirty Dancing
Hey, speaking of remakes, Little Miss Sunshine and Zombieland star Abigail Breslin is all grown up and succeeding Jennifer Grey as Baby in ABC’s upcoming Dirty Dancing. Colt Prattes steps into the immortal role of Baby’s dance instructor/romantic partner, made famous by the late Patrick Swayze. Can these two hope to capture any of the magic of the original? Will anyone put this Baby in a corner? We’ll find out on May 24th.
