Watch Gonzo and THE MUPPETS Perform ‘The Humpty Dance’

All right, stop! Stop whatcha doin’, ’cause I’m about to ruin the image and the style that you’re used to …from your childhood. And by that lyrical co-opting we mean The Muppets in a brand new parody video sure to make you — in the very least — scratch your head and chuckle. Because some things are just so wrong they’re right. They make no sense in theory but are perfect examples of Internet nincompoopery once realized. Such is the case of Mylo the Cat‘s most recent mash-up: a jazzy rendition of Digital Underground’s oddly iconic tune, “The Humpty Dance.”

But really, what song is more fitting of that certain side o’ suave and silliness only The Great Gonzo could command? Thinking about it for all of 3.25 seconds, we couldn’t think of anything. (But maybe you have suggestions: in which case, get thee to the comments.) Because Gonzo’s always been a bit of a ladies’ man when it comes to his favorite chick …ens. And besides, do we really have to state the obvious here? Emcee Shock G and Gonzo also share the blessing/curse that is having wholly distinctive (and totally phallic) noses, perfect for really making sure those innuenduous moments land.

Oh wait, was that a bit on the nose? (Ba-dum-ching! We’ll be here all night folks don’t applaud just throw money.)

Anyway, if that didn’t whet your Muppet music mash-up appetite, perhaps Mylo’s other iterations will do the trick: he’s also used the gang to perform Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend” and The Beastie Boys’ “So What’cha Want.”

Thoughts? Let us hear ’em in the comments.
