TV-Cap: AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Goes Inhuman, Red Hood Coming to GOTHAM, & More

Most of the Internet is still discussing the Oscars and sharing their favorite moments in the form of gifs. I’ve seen some particularly great ones – such as Benedict Cumberbatch drinking from a flask – but I’m going to skip past Oscars talk and focus on some television headlines from the last couple of days. Are you ready? Keep scrolling to see a trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that mentions Inhumans, a teaser for tonight’s Gotham (there’s a red hood), and photos from the season 2 finale of Sleepy Hollow.

The I-Word. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. creators have confirmed the events of the midseason finale introduced Inhumans, but the I-word hasn’t been used in universe or in official promo material until now. A promo aired during the Oscars last night that shows Skye, a/k/a Daisy Johnson, a.k.a Quake, experiencing her new abilities and questioning whether she’s Inhuman. Guys! It’s all happening. S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on March 3.

Much Bizarre, So Time Jumps, Wow. I’m so dazzled by the number of timeline jumps in 12 Monkeys that I can’t even properly express myself in Doge. It’s come to this. Luckily, you don’t need to listen to me. Clarke recaps the latest episode, “The Red Forest,” and unravels what occurred in all the timelines.

Sugar and Superheroes. It’s the most official! Cartoon Network has confirmed a reboot of The Powerpuff Girls is on deck and will premiere in 2016. Nick Jennings from Adventure Time is the series’s executive producer. Who else is excited about seeing more of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup? [The Mary Sue]

A Hood By Any Color. Another week on Gotham, another Batman villain revealed. The show is approaching its season finale and tonight’s episode, “Red Hood,” introduces the Red Hood gang. I know, you’re shocked. Eye-rolling aside, I will say that the teaser for the episode is nicely cut together. [Give Me My Remote]

Forgive Me, Father. Stephen Colbert will be appearing on an upcoming episode of The Mindy Project, and he’s bringing his Colbeard with him. Mindy Kaling tweeted a photo of herself with a bearded Colbert in the role of Father Michael O’Donnell. Could he be marrying Mindy and Danny? We need to know! [TV Insider]

More Laughs. The Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special had so many sketches lined up that they couldn’t fit them all into the three and a half hour show. They’ve released a new video showing Kyle Mooney taking to the streets and asking New Yorkers about SNL. [Nerdist]

Stuck In the Past. Sleepy Hollow wraps up its second season tonight, and things don’t look so good for Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane. Abbie has been transported back to 1781, and her appearance there and her interaction with the Crane of the past changes everything. See more photos from the episode at Give Me My Remote.

Superhero Crossover. If you’re among the many who are still sad about the cancellation of Young Justice, you’ll at least get to see the characters again. They’ll be appearing in the February 26 episode of Teen Titans Go! in a DC Comics kid hero crossover. The above photo shows Aqualad is not putting up with Robin. At all. [IGN]

Will you be tuning into the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. midseason premiere next week? Head to the comments and let us know about that and how you feel about Inhumans.
