Todd Howard Confirms Bethesda is Working on Three More “Long Term” Projects

We reported on Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro’s exciting DICE Summit keynote yesterday, but the creative duo weren’t the only interesting speakers at the show. In fact, Bethesda director Todd Howard also had quite a few exciting details to share with fans. Aside from discussing current work (like Fallout 4’s upcoming slate of DLC), Howard confirmed that the company was working on three more projects.

“We actually have three kind of longer term projects we’re doing that are all – we’ll talk about them at a future date – but they’re different than anything we’ve done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game.”
He elaborated that the projects in question are “big and crazy, but in many ways different than things we’ve done before. It’s an exciting time.”

With a ton of successful titles already under their belt, Bethesda planning something new is exciting, to say the least. While the studio generally likes to keep game news and announcements close to the chest–which Howard admits was rather successful when it came to the powerhouse that is Fallout 4–he teased that the company might reveal more about what they have planned once all of Fallout 4’s content has been rolled out.

Considering the last bit of DLC is slated to release in May, it’s possible the developer will have more to share about the unannounced projects during E3. They felt inclined enough to host another press conference ahead of the event, so a reveal of the sort would make sense.
