THOR: RAGNAROK Monster Featured in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Ride

From Disney‘s Not-So-Scary Halloween to Universal‘s Halloween Horror Nights, it’s the time of year where theme parks get into the spirit of All Hallow’s Eve, a.k.a. Nerdoween. At Disney California Adventure (part of the Disneyland Resort), fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT attraction are in for a treat (or trick) when the sun comes down.

It looks like Groot has gotten himself into a little bit of “I am Groot” (trouble). As part of Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark, your goal is to help Rocket Raccoon save Groot before scary creatures can get hold of him. Get an idea of the danger in the above pre-show video recorded by Inside the Magic.

Unfortunately for our cosmic heroes, one of those monsters is the Fire Dragon belonging to the Thor villain Surtur.

The news about the Fire Dragon comes to us from Marvel. The dragon will make its movie debut this November in Thor: Ragnarok, but you can get a firsthand glimpse of the Fire Dragon by riding Monsters After Dark.

This is a unique opportunity for vacationers to experience a full Guardians of the Galaxy narrative just by going to a theme park. You can ride Mission: Breakout during the day, then enjoy the continuation of the story with Monsters After Dark in the evening. There’s also the added bonus of seeing a link to the next Marvel movie before anyone else.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark will run through October 31, and Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters November 3.
