Let me preface this by saying, I should like this. It combines two of my favorite things: Beauty and the Beast and tacos. As a native Californian, Disney enthusiast, and former little girl who used to dance around her parents’ apartments singing “Something There†with a book in hand, I should, by all accounts, love this beautiful monstrosity of a dress. It’s even a pun! Taco Belle, get it? Get it??
It is a glorious thing – and yet, it makes me feel………… strange. Is it because I’m tempted to eat the dress? Is it because Taco Bell itself makes me feel a little sick to my stomach? I am at odds with myself. I both hate and love this dress, perhaps because I want to wear it so, so badly.
If nothing else, this hand-crafted dress by AvantGeek is seriously impressive. It’s made out of Taco Bell wrappers, with faux tacos made from cardstock, tissue paper, and felt. It’s a dress I would be proud to wear. Now I just need to find a real-life version of this pizza gown and I’ll be set for any and all fancy balls:
