How amazing would it be to have a miniscule bowl of ramen formed into a tiny cookie? Ok, flavor-wise youâd be better off with a hot steaming bowl of noodles, but visually it would be stunning. Amber Spiegel of SweetAmbs has done just that by creating faux ramen bowls into the tiniest of cookies.
Her step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, even for a novice. With just icing, piping bags, and using her scriber needle tool like a sugary magic wand, tiny toppings seem to magically appear before your eyes. She makes noodles using stiff icing, a #2 tip, and whole lot of patience. From experience, I can tell you that stiff icing and a #2 tip are a one-way ticket to carpal tunnel-ville. In other words itâs a lot of work and seeing as how these cookies are around 2-inches in size, I give her a lot of credit for her efforts.
Weâve seen Amber Spiegelâs handiwork before when she made her adorable little emoji cookies. Spiegelâs tutorials are always easy to follow and fun to watch.
What is it about her videos that make them so mesmerizing? Is it the calming background music or the way Spiegel elegantly pipes the smallest details. Whatever it is, I feel complete zen afterwards as the videos somehow seem to make you feel that you can accomplish anything. A teeny tiny piece of fish cake made out of icing? It looks so simple, sure why not! The reality is itâs Spiegelâs precision that makes her treats so unique.
While a bowl of savory ramen would absolutely make a better dinner, you canât deny that these fantastic cookies would be the ultimate post-noodle dessert.
