The SILICON VALLEY Season 3 Trailer is Totally “Third”

The new trailer for Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley season three has arrived and all we can say is that “this is a very emotional time” for any fans of the show. Although that’s okay because there’s a pony! Kind of…

Yes, the Pied Piper crew is back and this time they have everything from stylish company jackets (or just one, because that’s really enough for the entire world) to a Erlich-pony hybrid—which is not a super-advanced vehicle, but still totally money.

The third season will pick up from the second season’s cliffhanger where perpetually anxious Pied Piper founder Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) faces an ouster as CEO of his own company after an arduous court battle between the scrappy startup and Hooli helmsman Gavin Belson. Speaking of which, the trailer shows us who Raviga Capital’s inhumanly deadpan Laurie has decided should take succeed Richard as CEO, and it’s none other than “Action Jack Barker” (The Goldbergs’ Stephen Tobolowsky), who is a total gray-haired “hitter.” Whatever that means.

Along with the new threat to the company posed by Barker, it looks like the regular antics are in order for Hendricks, Erlich (T.J. Miller), Jared (Zach Woods), Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani), Gilfoyle (Martin Starr), Monica (Amanda Crew), and of course, Josh Brener as Big Head! According to Jared’s stylish jacket, it looks like the cast wasn’t lying when they told us during their SXSW interview that writers of the show are quietly ripping off real-life events and using them in the series. Which means Pied Piper could evolve into some kind of Sons of Anarchystyle techno gang with super quiet electric scooters. Although hopefully Erlich gets to lead the bunch with a real pony.

Season three of Silicon Valley will premiere on Sunday, April 24 on HBO.
