THE ORIGINALS’ Leah Pipes Teases Major Klamille Moment

Klamille fans, we haven’t forgotten about you!

After Joseph Morgan and Phoebe Tonkin spoke with Nerdist last week about The Originals fan-favorite pairing of Klaus and Hayley, aka Klayley, there was a big battle cry from Klamille fans for a scoop on their Originals pairing of choice, Klaus and Cami. So Nerdist got Leah Pipes on the line to talk all things Klamille as we head into The Originals fall finale tonight. We’re all about equal-opportunity shipping here!

And while Klaus and Cami have yet to even kiss (thanks for that reminder, Aurora), Pipes revealed that Klamille fans in particular are going to want to keep their eyes peeled during tonight’s episode, “Savior.” Is a real Klaus/Cami moment about to happen?

Check out our full Q&A with Pipes below to find out!

The CW

Nerdist: I’m equal parts nervous and excited for tonight’s episode. Some crazy stuff always goes down in The Originals fall finale.

Leah Pipes: Isn’t that the truth. After this episode, fans are going to be dying to see the next episode. I’m so sorry. This might actually ruin your holidays.

N: I hear you’ve got some great scenes with Joseph in the episode. Should Klamille fans be excited or nervous?

LP: Klamille fans should definitely tune in. You don’t want to miss this episode.

N: That’s going to get the fans riled up on Twitter.

LP: That’s my goal. I always seem to get them riled up on Twitter! All the time.

N: The Klamille fandom is really fascinating. They’re so passionate about this relationship even though, as Aurora pointed out in last week’s episode, Klaus and Cami have never even kissed. How do you feel about that?

LP: I know! I love how passionate the fans are, but I think there’s a line. No one should cross that line no matter who you ship. You should just be respectful of everyone because everyone has different opinions. But I love that everyone is so passionate about it because that means they’re passionate about the show and the story we’re telling. And every week we’re moving them, and there’s nothing more flattering than that. Even if you’re a Klayley fan and not a Klamille fan, I’m still flattered that you’re moved by the show to ship at all.

The Originals

N: Why do you think there is such a passionate Klamille fan base when Klaus and Cami haven’t even kissed?

LP: Because [executive producer] Julie Plec is the puppet master of all puppet masters when it comes to romance between vampires and humans. No one does it better. She doesn’t even need anything to happen. She can just write these scenes that are so romantic and then you realize these characters haven’t even kissed yet! It’s amazing what she is able to manufacture.

N: What can you tease about what kind of Klaus/Cami scenes we’ll see in this fall finale?

LP: The relationship will definitely be taken to another level. After the whole Aurora thing, they got closer and for her protection, she’s now staying with the Mikaelsons for a little while. She seems to be easily abducted right now so it’s for her protection. And that will bring them closer. You’re going to want to watch this episode, because it’s happening.

N: I know the fall finale is going to end on some crazy cliffhanger, so if you could describe it in 3 words, what would they be?

LP: Bloody. Devastating. Hopeless.
