The Official Xbox One Launch Lineup

There’s been a heap of exciting and interesting developments leading up to the release of the Xbox One. Recently, we got an impressive tour through the console’s super intuitive user interface. We also found out today that the Xbox One’s livestreaming capabilities will not be available at launch, but instead sometime next year. But as I always say, despite all of the malarkey over which us technophiles love bantering, at the end of the day, it is all about the games. Here’s a look at what titles the Xbox One will have available when it launches this Friday:

First-Party titles

Crimson Dragon

Dead Rising 3

Fighter Within

Forza Motorsport 5

Killer Instinct

LocoCycle

Peggle 2

Powerstar Golf

Ryse: Son Of Rome

Zoo Tycoon

Third-Party titles

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Battlefield 4

Call Of Duty Ghost

FIFA 14

Just Dance 2014

Need For Speed Rivals

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

Madden NFL 25

Minecraft (Xbox One Edition)

NBA 2K14

NBA Live 2014

Skylanders: Swap Force

Zumba Fitness: World Party

A very impressive selection of launch titles for the Xbox One, especially from the first-party perspective. Titles that stand out to me are certainly Killer Instinct, the renowned hit fighting series being rebooted by the folks at Double Helix Games, and Forza Motorsport 5, Microsoft’s flagship racing game.

Even though i am not planning on getting an Xbox One till the next Halo comes out, i will say that i am looking forward to Titanfall because to me that is the only game that looks like a nextgen title.

  2. John Lowe says:

I’m probably most curious about crimson dragon. I would be interested in ryse if they e3 preview didn’t look like the game was just one big quick time event button press feat. I also am waiting to pick up all of the recent releases (gta 5, ac4, batman origins, etc. ) until I decide wether I will get a ps4 or. Xb1

  4. Manuel R says:

Killer Instinct is worth the price of admission. I’ve never done a Just Dance game (I used to destroy folks at DDR), so I’d give that a shot.

  5. Trevor Verhelst says:

Played Forza at the Microsoft store last week. LOVE IT!

  6. Sean C. says:

I am looking forward to Battlefield 4, the 64 player is the real big draw for me. Dead Rising and Forza 5 are on my list. Minecraft (Xbox One Edition) it will be nice to craft in a much larger world and have all the current updates to go with it as well.

  7. Manuel R says:

Is this the place to post for the contest, or is the a particular Nerdist News posting to hit up? I read through the rules, but it was unclear to me…

    Thanks!

  8. Wayne Pieper says:

Battlefield 4 64 player matches on a console while keeping up with shows to empty the dvr at the same time.

  9. Ashley Jacksonxx says:

I’m really looking forward to Lego Marvel Super Heroes. I love the Lego games so much!
