The Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day 2/7/14: Matt Damon Gets Pranked Again on Kimmel

It was announced today that Will Smith will not be returning for an apparent sequel to Independence Day. While that’s sad to some hardcore fans of the film, it should be noted that it should be more devastating on whether Bill Pullman will return for the sequel to deliver another speech that way too many people will be quoting for years on end. I’m still OK with people pulling the occasional “Welcome to earth!”, but am definitely done with people screaming “This is our Independence Day!” like it’s Christmas in July. While you’re waiting to hear if Pullman will join in, enjoy The Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day.

Today’s MIFV is Jimmy Kimmel getting the entire cast of Monuments Men including George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, John Goodman, Bill Murray, and Bob Balaban to play into his farcical rivalry with Matt Damon. Please do watch every single part of it.

Here’s the previous MIFV pick, in case you missed it.

Per usual, I’m taking submissions for the MIFV like so many featured in the past. I love finding new, hilarious videos from people hundreds and thousands of miles away, so please do send your videos so long as they follow the rules below.
-E-mail embeddable video link to [email protected] with subject line “MIFV Submission”
-Videos must have been posted online (i.e. have a time stamp that says so) within exactly two weeks from when you submit (i.e. videos uploaded more than 14 days from the day when you submit will not be up for consideration)
-Don’t add any cover letters or explanations; please just send the link

That was a good one. It’s nice that the “Sorry Matt Damon, we ran out of time” gag actually does go somewhere when he does make it to the show.

  2. Matthew says:

I have to say, I do love the recurring gag that they have with Damon. It’s really quite funny and a great back and forth over the years.

  3. duke lemoyne says:

    That was Funny.

  4. Snarkability 85 says:

Something funny happened on Kimmel? That would be a first.
