The Adele Remix of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” Might Actually Happen

Remember when Adele said she would love to do an official remix of Drake’s internet-breaking global smash “Hotline Bling”? Last week, the British songstress said, “I really want us to do an official remix. I love Drake. I love Drake so much. I even got the coat that’s in the video, I got it delivered the other day, I ordered it. The red one.”

The world has been salivating at the possibility of a collaboration between two of the biggest draws in the musical world at the moment, not to mention they’d be coming together on the biggest jam of the past few months.

Alas, it seemed like perhaps we got carried away and read too much into an off-the-cuff comment.

But no! Drake goes online too! Drake knows what’s being said! And Drake has things to say about said things! He was asked about collaborating with Adele not too long after her initial quote started spreading around, and he responded, “I’d do anything with Adele. I’d literally go to Adele’s house right now and do laundry for her.”

Guys… this might actually happen. If Drake would willingly iron Adele’s shirts and hang them up with nary a crease, then of course he’d hop on a track with her. It seems like the only step is for Adele to take time from the promotional tour for 25 to get in a studio and lay down her vocals. That would be a super smart move, by the way: Wouldn’t this potential “Hotline Bling” remix be one of the greatest moves in the history of advertising (and internet-breaking)?
