Rage, melancholy, confusion, and more are all sweeping the nation over the shootings in Newtown, CT. As always with The 5 Most Intentionally Funny Videos This Week, I’m not offering any answers or solutions to a horrific event, but only temporary distractions or much needed laughs if you need them AND are sick of seeing homemade pranks gone wrong or animal videos.
1. The incredibly funny Pete Holmes and Chris Thayer interview each other with one little catch: they both eat a raw habanero pepper right before.

Regardless of media empire affiliation, the Pete Holmes/Chris Thayer vid had me silent crying at my office computer to the point i was excreting similar body fluids as those witnessed in the video. When i went to wipe the tears from my eyes, i had not accounted for the fact that i had just been eating Thai food. My eyes started burning. I felt like i was sharing a moment with the two of them as i continued to laugh/cry as quietly as i could, so as not to draw too much attention to my disturbing state.
also: I can’t read!
😛
How can anything Pete Holmez does be unintentionally funny? Isn’t he “always on” and his intention is to receive laughter from people – always?
Imagine having sex with that guy? That big mouth laughing at a pussy fart? Occasionally mildly funny, yes. Unintentionally annoying… tough call.
Those Spicy News videos aren’t made by Pete Holmes they just have special guests each week
I’ve eaten a whole habanero like that before and it is an assault on the senses. Pete handled it very well, even if he was living through Hellfire from the waist up.
Understood, but funny’s funny. Jake is independent and he picks what he likes, regardless of Nerdist ties. And it’s hardly the case that there’s always a Nerdist-related comic in the videos (although, these days, it’s like everyone’s somehow related to us…).
Doesn’t it seem like videos that feature hosts of podcasts on the Nerdist network should be exempt from appearing on these kinds of lists? Otherwise it sometimes comes across as a little blatantly self-serving.
