Telltale Games Unveils THE WALKING DEAD: MICHONNE Launch Trailer

Do you think you know Michonne from The Walking Dead? Telltale Games is going to challenge that assumption this week in the highly anticipated three-part miniseries The Walking Dead: Michonne.

Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) steps into the role of Michonne in this new game, which shares continuity with the original Walking Dead comic book series by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. Shortly after the “All Out War” storyline, Michonne left her friends and surrogate family to strike out on her own. The game’s story will explore Michonne’s reasons for leaving and why she ultimately came back.

With the imminent launch of The Walking Dead: Michonne, Telltale Games has released a new trailer for the first installment, “In Too Deep,” as Michonne gets a very ugly reminder that humans are still deadlier than the zombies that walk the Earth. When the story begins, Michonne will be a part of the crew of The Companion, a scavenger ship that comes across a deadly massacre…and the architect of that mayhem may lie in the Monroe colony, The Companion’s next destination!

Officially, The Walking Dead: Michonne rollout begins on February 23 for PC and Mac users, Playstation 4 and 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The mobile version of the game will hit on February 25 on the App Store, Google Play, and The Amazon App Store. The second episode of the miniseries, “Give No Shelter” will be released in March, and the storyline will wrap up in April with “What We Deserve.”
