STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Set for DISNEY INFINTY 3.0 Gets a Trailer

Disney Interactive and Sony have released a trailer for a new Disney Infinity 3.0 play set based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Disney themed toys-to-life game will be the first video game to feature any of the characters or events from The Force Awakens, and will release on December 18, the same day as the film.

The trailer promises exactly what we would expect, as many moments we have seen from the trailers and TV spots are recreated through Disney Infinity. As far as the trailer reveals, players will experience Finn’s daring escape from the First Order, fighting with First Order troops on Jakku as Finn, Rey, and the Millennium Falcon, as well as the lightsaber battle between Finn and Kylo Ren featured at the end of the final theatrical trailer. Players who purchase the play set pack will receive the Rey and Finn figurines to use for the game, which should be enough to experience the new storyline content from Force Awakens, but Disney will also be selling separate figurines of Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren to be used in the game’s open-world modes.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is currently the highest-rated version of Disney’s toy-to-life series, and the addition of the Force Awakens set will undoubtedly result in even greater sales for the game. Players are currently able to venture into playable versions of both the original and prequel trilogy storylines from the Star Wars saga, as well as participate in adventures with characters from the popular Star Wars Rebels animated series on Disney XD.
