Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a fantastic film, but perhaps on your second or third viewing you felt like all fans, why isnât there more garlic bread? Luckily someone had the wherewithal to go in and retouch the scenes, adding more buttery goodness.
Website The Poke found imgur user Guy Goald had updated classic Force Awakens scenes with pieces of garlic bread. Itâs kind of amazing how easily the carby treat fits into key moments of the film. As Rey mines the junk fields of Niima Outpost, she scavenges and finds the real treasureâa crusty boat of garlic bread. If only finding dinner in the barren desert of Jakku was that easy.
Garlic bread makes its presence known both as the Millennium Falcon and on the Millennium Falcon. One of my favorite scenes being when Rey is fixing the ship and needs a tool from Finn, while he keeps pulling up the wrong ones. Watching him pull up various pieces of garlic bread instead makes the scene even more hilarious and also makes me hungry.
Possibly my favorite scene is when Kylo Ren struggles to pull garlic bread out of a snow drift. Quite the humbling experience to see Rey do it so easily, and now heâs left with no bread at all. What would his grandfather say? Tsk.
All of these scenes only benefit from the addition of carbs. The most obvious of the bunch, Rey stirring together her portions with water as it magically puffs up into a golden loaf of buttery pull-apart bread makes me want to go out and bake up a savory loaf myself.
Which of these garlic bread scenes is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
