What Can We Learn About EPISODE VIII From THE FORCE AWAKENS?

Watch out, internet, because we’ve been awakened. If you haven’t yet seen Episode VII, get thee to the nearest cinema and then come back here and watch this spoiler-filled episode of Nerdist News.

(And when we mean spoiler-filled, we mean it. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, OK? Good!)

J.J. Abrams‘ masterpiece Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now in theaters, and after getting cozy with new heroes and villains, falling in love with Poe Dameron, soaking in the lightsaber fights, falling in love with BB-8, and enjoying all of the surprises, we can’t wait to see what happens next in Rian Johnson‘s Episode VIII. The Force Awakens wrapped up its self-contained plot, but left us at a great leaping off point. There are a lot of things we can glean from the saga of Rey and Finn, and now we’re gonna speculate on what potentially lies behind all those open doors. Who are [redacted]’s parents? What is the truth behind [redacted]? And will [redacted] be coming back with a vengeance??
