It’s Kylo Ren vs. Santa Claus in the Ultimate Christmas Lightsaber Battle

♬ He knows when you’ve been sleeping / he knows when you’re awake / he knows if you’ve been bad or good / so use the Force for goodness sake! ♬

‘Tis the season to be jolly! After all, come December 18, every sci-fi and space fantasy-loving nerd on the planet will get the present they’ve been waiting for since Disney purchased Lucasfilm back in 2012: the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (But if you’re looking for more specific Star Wars gear, you can always peruse our holiday gift guide.) Yet something tells me that there’s a bit of tension between those who celebrate Life Day and those who celebrate Christmas. After all, what else could explain why Santa Claus and Kylo Ren are fighting in the living room? British songwriter Tommie Connor may have seen mommy kissing Santa Claus last night, but we saw one of the dark side’s elite agents wielding his lightsaber against jolly old Saint Nick. Who knows, maybe they’re fighting over whether or not the Star Wars Holiday Special should be canon or not. (For the record, my answer is a resounding “yes.”)

Next time, Santa should just call in Krampus as backup — assuming that he’s not too busy hobnobbing with Hollywood’s finest after his starring role in Michael Dougherty’s new film, that is.

Special thanks to Tay Zonday for lending his mellifluous tones to the video’s narration. Be sure to check out his channel and spread the holiday cheer.

Who do you think would win in a lightsaber battle? What other characters would you like to see take up arms against one another? Let’s discuss in the comments below.
