Spam Bushwick Hits the Food Scene with Artisanal Canned Meat

In our new world of Ramen Burgers and invisible water cakes, reinvention is key and sometimes that means going back to hand crafted artisanal products with attention to detail. Artisanal food takes processed food and turns it on it’s head, making ingredients more meaningful and pure.

That’s where Spam Bushwick comes in as purveyors of artisanal canned ham. Through experimentation and creativity they’ve come up with refreshing and innovative flavors that take Spam to the next level.

Through nuanced exploration of various flavor profiles Spam Bushwick takes 6-8 hours to create their canned meat and the team is currently working on a special recipe for those who are lactose intolerant, that uses nutritional yeast.

Spam Bushwick’s most successful product has been the Sriracha Pickles-flavored Spam, followed by the popular Lemongrass and Coconut Oil Spam. A third flavor, the Roasted Garlic Wasabi, just hit the market and sounds positively mouth-watering.

Chef Justin Warner is featured in the video speaking to this new take on Spam as inspiration for his menu at his Brooklyn restaurant Do or Dine. On his menu, Brooklyn Spam Fried Arancini features Lemongrass Coconut Oil Spam, full of Bushwick flavor.

The beauty of artisanal products like Spam Bushwick is that they take comforting food that we know and love and change it completely by recreating it into a virtually unrecognizable beautiful form, full of distinguishing local flavor.

[Editor’s note: obviously we know this is an April Fool joke. Calm down.]
