Sony Wants to Know Which PS2 Games You Want on the PS4

There’s no doubt that the addition of PS2 classics to the ever growing game catalogue on the PS4 was a smart move by Sony. The PlayStation community has responded positively to these older gems being up-rendered and having trophy support. It certainly gives these games new life. But, the selection is pretty slim at the moment, and Sony wants you to have a say in choosing which PS2 titles will be making the jump to the current console.

It’s actually fairly simple. All you need to do is tweet your choices with the hashtag #ps2ps4, and Sony will take notice. Now, how exactly the votes will be tallied is not clear, but it really doesn’t hurt to let your voice be heard. Peep the tweet below from PlayStation Worldwide Studios America International Software Development & SpecOps head, Dave Thach.

The PS2 is still revered as one of the best home consoles to ever exists because of its stellar library of games, so there are obviously plenty of games to vote for. Here are the classics already on PSN:

  • Dark Cloud — $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto III — $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — $14.99
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — $14.99
  • Rogue Galaxy — $14.99
  • The Mark of Kri — $14.99
  • Twisted Metal: Black — $9.99
  • War of the Monsters — $9.99

Fortunately for me, some of my favorite PS2 games, which includes the Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter series, already have remastered collections, so I’m kind of set already. But alas, I know many of you have a long wish-list, so make sure to let Sony know.

Which games will you be asking to be added to the PS4? Which obvious titles have yet to be added? Let us know in the comments below.
