I don’t know how/why I didn’t know Devon Aoki had been replaced by Jamie Chung in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, but here we are. Chung takes a flying leap as the Basin City assassin in one of a pair of new images from the Frank Miller/Robert Rodriguez sequel, due out next month from Dimension Films.
Are either of these stills? I’m assuming both are simply character images from the film (they have that feel of fashion photography that’s not really a thing in either Rodriguez or Miller’s work).
What are your thoughts on the new costumes? I think Gail looks downright business-like (in a Frank Miller way) in these new threads, while Miho has traded in her billowy outfit from the first movie for something with a little more maneuverability. Although swords > bows.
“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Frank Millerâs classic stories with new tales in which the townâs most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to âThe Big Fat Killâ (featured in the film Frank Millerâs Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.”
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be out on August 22, 2014.
