Writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo’s run on Batman has been nothing but stellar. They introduced fans to the Court of Owls and gave us a new take on Batman’s origin with Zero Year. Sandwiched in between those two great stories is one that some are already calling one of the greatest Joker stories ever told, Death of the Family. After disappearing from >Gotham for over a year, the Clown Prince of Crime returns, this time with his facial skin surgically removed and worn on his head like a mask. (It’s the Joker. Run with it).
Pretty terrifying, huh? Well, thanks to Think Geek, all of us can have the Joker scare the living daylights out of our neighbors with their new groundbreaker decoration. You know those zombies that you see coming out of the ground during Halloween season? This is exactly like that…except it’s the Joker.
Made with coated foam, this Joker is designed to be placed outside, so it’s weather resistant. There is some assembly requires, as the arms will fit into the torso, and the knife slides into his right hand.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a matching Harley Quinn to go onto the other side of your yard, but there’s always Christmas. The Joker groundbreaker runs $99.99, and you can order it on Think Geek’s website here.
So what do you think? What other comic book inspired decorations would you like to see? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
