Quentin Tarantino’s RESERVOIR DOGS Is Getting a New Video Game

Over a decade ago, Eidos attempted to turn Quentin Tarantino‘s classic film, Reservoir Dogs into a video game. And while the final result didn’t live up to the reputation of the movie, Big Star Games is taking a new approach for its take on the property.

Via Polygon, Big Star Games has revealed the first look at Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, a new video game that will be released later this year. While the previous Reservoir Dogs game was a third-person shooter, Bloody Days has a more interesting take on the story. This game will put players in control of three members of Joe Cabot’s hand-picked crew as they attempt to pull off a heist. Bloody Days uses a top-down perspective and it has a “time back” feature that lets players change different parts of the outcome. For example, if you start out as Mr. White and you “get a customer, or an employee, who thinks he’s Charles Bronson,” you can rewind time and assume control of another character, like Mr. Orange, to make sure that they don’t get the chance to screw up the plan.

The downside of this title is that it doesn’t appear to have the direct involvement of Tarantino himself, and it’s hard to see if or how it could incorporate some the film’s signature moments. Still, we’re very intrigued to try out the game when it hits Steam this spring.
