When you’re a parent, sometimes you find yourself going to ridiculous lengths just to make your kid’s dreams come true. The sheer look of joy on your child’s face will make all the pain worth it. I’m telling you this as a person who got carpal tunnel from piping frosted edible Minecraft blocks.
Youtuber Russellmunro and his wife will definitely win parents of the year in the eyes of their kiddo. Clearly their son is Transformers obsessed, since he donned a dapper Optimus Prime ensemble for his birthday party.
In the video, you can see his friends and family gathered around an already amazingly realistic Prime cake in Semi form. While that would be awesome enough for any birthday, with just a push of a button, the party watches in amazement as the cake truck actually transforms into the leader of the Autobots, speaking and moving with Optimus’ head popping out of the top as a finale.
It’s enough to make you want to stand up and cheer. Even the princess in the crowd can’t believe her eyes and clearly, the guest of honor is the happiest little Transformers fan there ever was.
The same channel has started putting up behind the scenes videos, including a look at how the animated platform works while cake-less. Since the video seems to be shot in a workshop, I’m sure a more in depth DIY is to come.
